It's just around the corner...

Christmas came so fast this year. I can't believe it. This is Paige's 2nd Christmas and I am sure she will have a blast. Not much new to report on right now. We are going to Rocky's parents for Christmas eve tomorrow after I get done with work at 1. We will be there til Christmas day sometime around 3 and then head home and do our gift thing. Then it's off to my parents for the weekend!! WOO HOO!!! SO EXCITED. We are having prime rib and opening gifts on saturday, then it's our big Bohm family christmas party on Sunday afternoon. ( I feel like I may have written all this in a previous post... if I did, sorry!)
Anyway.... I got all my shopping done this past weekend and everything wrapped on Sunday night. Glad thats done. I usually love wrapping gifts, but this year it just seemed like something I HAD to do, and not wanted to do. Hopefully Paige will like the things that Santa got her this year. Her birthday is Jan 5, so I have to think of some more stuff to get her yet too here soon. Her party is going to be Jan. 10th, with my birthday being the next day (the 11th). I am hoping the weather cooperates and my family can come up for it. I think I am going to do a Dora themed party for her this year since she is into Dora and Diego. Last year I did the Disney princesses theme.

Will it ever stop?

So it's snowing... AGAIN. We just got 8 inches 2 nights ago, and now we are supposed to get another 6 inches from this storm. People have been saying that they haven't had this much snow in this area before Christmas in years. Oh well I guess.... thats what we get for moving to Minnesota!!
On another note, I have to get my shopping and wrapping done this weekend. I went and got started last weekend and actually got quite a bit of stuff, and Wed. we went to the Rochester mall and got a couple things. I only have a few more things to get, and a lot of it is gift cards so it won't be so bad.

BOO!

So I was amazed at Paige yesterday. I came home from work, we had supper and Rocky left for work. Paige and I were sitting on the couch snuggling when she picked up this ghost decoration(she raided the closet earlier in the day) that my mom got me a while back. It says BOO on it. Paige pointed to each one of the letters and said them. B.... O.... O.... It was amazing! I mean, I don't think it's everyday that a 23 month old knows most of their ABC's. Must be a wiz kid. :) She points to letters in books and magazines and says them also. She needs some help with some of the letters yet, but she knows quite a few of them. I think she knows them so well because she LOVES the ABC book by Dr. Seuss. We probably read that book to her at least 5 times a day, sometimes more!!

Let it snow, let it snow...

Well, not really. It's not that I hate the snow, I just hate walking around in it, getting my feet wet, (maybe I need some boots??) shoveling my car off, and driving in it. Otherwise it's ok! :) We got 8 inches of snow last night in the first "real" snowstorm of the season. I am sure there are many more to come. I hope this doesn't hinder Pinz and Geoff's decision to come here and visit us this weekend. The way the weather looks, we shouldn't really have any more snow through the weekend, so hopefully they can still come. We haven't had visitors in so long!

Otherwise... I am at work right now, bored. We aren't busy since everyone is probably snowed in. Paige learned the word "take" now so she comes up to you, puts her hands up and says "take!" when she wants to be held. It's really cute but I can tell it's going to be something that we will be hearing a lot. :)

So my cousin and his wife had their baby girl on Sunday. She looks like a real sweetheart and hopefully we will get to meet her before she gets too big. :) Her name is Lilah Josephine.

A little note in my weight loss journey... I lost 2 lbs more, so now my total is up to 54 lost. I am excited! I only have 26 more to go til I am at my goal. I would LOVE to lose even more than that, but 80 was my initial goal so I am sticking to that first.

Sittin' at work

So I am just sitting at work, bored and thought I would take this opportunity to write a little something. Nothing much new going on right now! Basicaly just work and taking care of my little Paige. She is getting so smart! I know I say this every post but it's amazing how much kids learn at this stage. They say they are like little "sponges" at this age, and that is totally true!! Paige can pretty much repeat anything you say (within reason, 1 or 2 words) and it sounds pretty good. Some words are a lot clearer than others, but she is doing really well! She loves to give hugs and kisses and loves to play around with her Daddy whom is home with her all day while I am at work. I am so awed by him, he is an amazing father. I am sure not every Dad would stay at home with their kids all day while Mom works, and then have to go to work himself. He is truly amazing.

Looking forward to Christmas and going to my parents house for the celebration! Their new pool table should hopefully be done and we can have a tournament! I belive we are going to have our imediate family christmas on Saturday afternoon and then have Prime Rib (Mom makes awesome prime rib!) for supper that night. Then on Sunday is our whole huge family christmas party with all the Bohm family being there. Thats always a good time. It will be nice that we can stay until Monday this year too, as I took off of work on Monday so we wouldn't have to leave in the middle of the party on Sunday. Yea!

Also looking forward to my sister Megans wedding! She and Chris are getting married June 20th 2009. So about 7 more months til that! We went with her to pick out dresses and they are really beautiful. They are a halter top and I think they will look really nice on everyone in the wedding. Megans dress is also really beautiful and she looks great in it! It's also a halter top so we will all match! She is having 7 on each side, along with 4 ushers! Chris has a REALLY big family (12 aunts and uncles on each side!) so there should be a lot of people there and it should be a really good time! Pretty much RIGHT after their wedding, Rocky and I will be trying for another baby, so we are both really excited about that. We are both really ready for another baby, afterall, Paige will be 2 in a month! So I guess she will have just turned 3 when we have the next one (provided I get pregnant right away!) So excited!!!!

Well, this "short" post turned into a really long one. I better get going!
Have a great weekend!
